Dr. Velez, DVM
Dr. Velez was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She received a bachelors degree in Biology from the University of Puerto Rico. She earned her degree as doctor of veterinary medicine from Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated magna cum laude. She then moved to South Florida where she has been practicing since.
Dr. Velez is passionate about improving the lives of animals. Her hobbies include outdoor activities, and traveling with her husband. She has three adorable cats whom she rescued (Leo, Misha, and Pepe).

Dr. Velez, DVM

Dr. Robert Barcala, DVM
Dr. Barcala has been helping pets and animals for over 25 years. After earning his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell in 1992, he spent the first few years of his career in equine veterinary medicine. While working in veterinary diagnostics for the following decade, he developed a passion for small animal medicine. Since 2005, Dr. Barcala has been helping pet owners in the Miami area get quality care for their companions. He focuses on the importance of understanding the bond between pets and humans, emphasizing the need for caring and empathetic veterinarians. Dr. Barcala is also fluent in Spanish.

Dr. Corbelle, DVM
Dr. Corbelle is a Connecticut native who received his bachelor’s degree in Animal Science at the University of Connecticut. He then earned his doctorate degree from St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine where he graduated summa cum laude. Dr. Corbelle takes pride in ensuring pets feel as comfortable as possible whether it’s for their annual check-up or in times of need. He loves being a big part of his patient’s lives and strives to practice high quality medicine to keep pets and their families happy and healthy!
When he’s not working in the hospital he enjoys spending time with his family, enjoying the beach, scuba diving and playing soccer. He also enjoys being a cat dad to his precious cat,Gigi.

Dr. Tomasko, a South Florida native, has always had a passion for working with animals. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida. Soon after graduation she began working with horses in a mobile veterinary practice. Time and experience in the field then brought her to the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, where she became a doctor of veterinary medicine. Her goal is to always treat her patients with the love and care she would want her own pets to receive. Her favorite part of being a veterinarian is helping both pets and their families.
In her spare time, Dr. Tomasko enjoys kayaking, gardening, spending time with her family, or traveling back to Tennessee for a weekend hike with her husband and two dogs, Ollie and Raven. She also adores her two cats, Andre and Oreo.
